Infinite space and we are all alone

Not proven if infinite, that's just one hypothesis and most probably we're not alone, just really far away from each other.

>a thing I've always wondered
The edge of the universe, what is it like? Like, out past the matter and energy ejected from the big bang, is just empty vacuum for eternity, or is there a border to our universe? Like, is there a "vacuum" for space-time that exists beyond our universe's border and between ours and other universes, if they exist? A space between spaces if you will?

Space is space. If there is a space between space and space, it's just a continuation of the first space. Therefore infinite space.

The chances of being born a sentient being are so slim.
There are infinities upon infinities of souls which will never come into existence.

When there is too little energy in a section of space, travel in that direction becomes impossible. Thrust no longer has an effect because it's like heading up a mountain of gravity. Time will cease to be at the peak. It's the true void, nothing. Best part is, when you add something, the peak shrinks. So just travel with enough mass and you will be safe wherever you choose to go.
