Demons do exist, and influence us by three methods that I'm aware of. One access to your thoughts (along with the ability to implant thoughts in your voice, accent and language), two sell you what I call "merchandise" this is literally negative feelings (hate, lust, anger, vengeance, etc.) and three their innate abilities. Their ability to influence you depends on how deep or bad your sins are, and hence their right to tempt and control you.

They will lie and enslave you through sin. Any "ability" or "power" that you gain, is really them possessing and using you. They are the enemy of humanity.

The only way to break free from their influence is Yeshua, i.e. Jesus Christ.

I am well aware of all the name changes but the idea of demonic or "evil" spirits goes right back to Sumer which is the same basic root origin of Judaism hence where Christianity and later Islam got it from. And besides, if OP's paradigm is "summoning demons" I am pretty damn sure his mindframe does not involve asking a fertility goddess for rain.
