So I used to go Urbexing with my sister about five years ago. I've since moved away from home for college and recently wanted to get back into it. I even found my old thumb-drive with images from my adventures. Dumping in this thread.
Also, I found some video files of a certain abandoned insane asylum. I would mention which one specifically, but the last time I shared it online, the police from that city managed to track me down and arrest me. Not joking. I only avoided incarceration because a family member of mine is literally a high-ranking police officer in a nearby area, and he managed to convince them I was just being a dumb teen. I'm willing to share some pictures and videos, as long as I don't mention where it is, I should be fine... right?
If not, I have plenty others.
Feel free to contribute.
Also, I'll be going by Urbex-OP in this thread, as to not confuse. It's not tripped, but it doesn't really matter.
Also, for the sake of disclosure, I live in a pretty... well... un"urban" area. So technically, this is more "Rurex" if that's a thing. Same idea, though.
Here's a house I found innawoods.
The inside of the house.
When we walked inside, I have to admit, I remember it being super cold, despite being about 85 that day. Not even in a spooky, "ooh it's cold there must be ghosts" kind of way. Just in a "Huh... it's awfully cool" way.
The really extraordinary thing is that that chandelier was swinging when we got inside. Only slightly, but enough to feel creepy as hell.
Curtains still hanging.
I always thought that that looked like an eye right below the crack/hole in the top.
Here's that damn chandelier again.
Had a piano in there, too. Surprisingly still worked... more or less.
I scared my friend who was in the other room by playing that "duh-duh-duh-DUH" riff before they knew there was a piano in the back room.
I always feel sad when I find/see abandoned books.
Here's a fucking creepy picture of my friend hiking a bit ahead of me into the woods. The weird thing is that single white pixel next to him. Just an observation.
That's it for the house in the woods. Next is the abandoned elementary school.
Surprisingly, this school was not that far away from a nearby highway. However, we didn't want to be caught sneaking around, so we couldn't stop and really get any pictures of the front exterior.
Here's a shot out the back, though. Nothing special, but it's an establishing shot.
Literally wasn't a single chair, desk, or bench in the entire school. Except for one.
My sister and friend and I joked that it was the "Eternal Detention Chair" and that bad kids who died returned to this school forever and had to sit in this chair until the end of time.
Some graffiti.
I can't read it, save for a few words. Anyone good at low-resolution cursive on deteriorating drywall?
More graffiti.
I...I can read this one, though.
Check this out. More abandoned books. Mostly religious, except one: a Pokemon handbook.
I had the same exact one when I was 7.
That's all of the school. The only unique thing we found there besides the one chair and Pokemon book was this pile of Monopoly money. I took a $500 note home with me. Haven't been cursed or anything, so I assume nothing haunted.
Next up with have a creepy as fuck, undocumented, unmarked cemetery in the middle of the woods.
Look at this grave. Flower and everything...
>>18811538
Oh, holy shit, here's another nearby....
>>18811540
Wait....
>>18811544
...shit!
There were like 30 there. All unmarked. All facing the same direction (as graves often do). Just little wooden crosses.
We were technically trespassing, so we didn't want to tell authorities about us being there and finding them. Otherwise, we would let the historical society or someone know. It was neat and unmarked, but I'm pretty sure that people know about it. We found a beer bottle about 100 feet away from the grave. Still spooky. We weren't even seeking them out. Just stumbled upon them.
The only really weird thing about the cemetery was in the center, there was a diamond made of stones. Nothing in the middle. Just sitting there. No idea why.
Finally: the insane asylum.
For the next few, I have to explain some things. One, none of these were still images. All pics that I'll be posting were from video I took. They are screencaps I copy-pasta'd into MS Paint. Please excuse the quality. I wasn't thinking.
Secondly, I'm censoring anything that can be traced back to me by means of location. As I explained, I've already gotten in trouble with the law once for these very images, so forgive me for sparing you the details. What I will say is it was eerie as hell, it was super big, and we all felt something.
Let's get started.
Crematorium. Huge smokestack.

Other side. Wish we had gone inside.
Mail room or lounge or something. I had to put the camera on a tripod and hold it in the air through a window to see. Underwhelming, but cool nonetheless.
Also, is no body even monitoring this thread? Or are yall busying discussing pizzagate and tulpas?
Side of one of the building. Big place. Neat windows.
Amazing pictures
Cemetery is definitely spooky, where's the closest town/village to it?
nice OC OP.
hoping for some spoops.
>>18811462
good thread OP, UrbanEx threads always fun to read
Corner of courtyard or something.
>>18811579
Hey, it's someone! Without specifics, the nearest town was about two miles away. The nearest road was about that far, too, though we got to that part of the woods via a cut path so SOMEONE had been nearby-ish.
>>18811584
Unfortunately, nothing super spoopy caught on camera. Mostly just weird feelings/interesting locals.
>>18811585
Right? Not nearly enough of them. Wish more /x/philes got out there. I'm one to talk, though. Been about two years.
Still love sharing, nonetheless.
We found an unlocked door, and went inside. We quickly discovered we were in the Children's Ward.
Here's a picture of the bathroom wall. It's simple and nothing to it, but let me explain.
The bathroom was one giant room, but with a plywood wall going down the middle, and two doors marked BOYS and GIRLS.
Man, I was a retard with the camera. Ironically, I'm about to graduate film school. Who would have thought?
Anyway, I'll describe the bathroom.
Instead of shower stalls like a locker room or gym, there were bathtubs. I'm guess because they were used by children, but still seemed impractical.
The rooms, also, had no light fixtures. Obviously, the only light coming in would be from the windows now anyway, but in the corners it was dark and creepy as fuck. I'll look for a shot of that.
>>18811600
...Yeah, this is it. I stayed in the bathrooms for 30 seconds. I wanted to see as much as I could before getting the hell outta dodge.
More to come though.
Fire Instructions. In a classroom.
Why the heck I didn't get a better image of this schedule, I don't know. Like I said, I desperately needed film school to teach me how to use a camera.
In case you're wondering, I'm better at it now.
Oh! I forgot. The WHOLE time we were at the asylum, this guy followed us. EVERYWHERE.
Note: he's black.
Around blacks, never relax.
Hallway. Probably a demon or something, idk.
Running out of pictures, hah.
Some parts of this place remind me of a sunnier, but spookier, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game.
That's about all I can squeeze from my collection. Hope you all enjoyed it.
Please post some of your own exploration pictures. Like I mentioned, too many "how do I make a succubus" threads and not enough real life creepy shit.

>>18811624
Why would you be scared of these places? Theyre known to be haunted? Or just abandoned because economic reasons? I can only enter a abandoned place only if i know that it was closed because something that has nothing to do with paranormal shit..
>>18811548
Anon. Make anon letter to them. Done and history preserved duh.
These are great anon.
>>18811641
Thank you, OP, for taking your time to post it for us, really appreciate it.
>>18811462
Thanks Op, that was actually great.
Just for clarification, the house was how far from civilisation? The school was near a highway and the ward was two miles from a highway?
Were these buildings part of an abandoned township or just random buildings?
There's a thread in the catalogue at the moment that has photos of a shopping mall that was abandoned as well as some photos from a town that was abandoned after a flood in Chile (I think that was the location). Might be cool to check out.
As an Australian, I find all these photos of foreign countries and their buildings super interesting, sure we've got some old buildings made by the gold miners etc, but generally everything is relatively new. White man only arrived here in 1788. The land only had one owner before us convicts came, and they weren't big on buildings. None of the cool, this culture owned this, then this culture took over, and then this culture, and all of them left traces of being here.
Do any anons have photos and stories from castles or ancient places like that? Google images mostly brings up a heap of photo-shopped stuff, not quite the same beauty as an anon with a dslr and a story of their experience.

is your sister hot?
God I miss having reg urbex threads on /x/
Thanks for sharing OP
I agree, /x/ needs more urbex. I'm considering starting to urbex myself. Perhaps I will post photos in the future.
Nonetheless, we need more urbex here.

Since america isn't very old, I never used to think you guys had much spoogy shit.
But over the years/x/ has proved me wrong, you have some genuinely creepy shit going on every now and then
