There was military air show later that year over the Thames, I watched it. They had military helicopters flying low over the river for that and behind those building site walls they put up, like those in the video.

Probably practicing for that. Sorry to be a party pooper. The low flying behind the wooden walls looked spooky even in the shining sunshine of that day with the crowds cheering.
