Can anyone recommend actually or significantly scary movies or documentaries re paranormal, podcasts also welcome. High production or indie, subtitled; I don't give a shit as long as it haunts my thoughts.
Also feel free to mention your favourites as long as they're actually scary. I don't have any suggestions so I've attached a picture of some vaguely creepy doodles I drew.
Also I realise that fear is subjective, but lets face it, a great number of modern horror movies are repetitive and dull. I hope you have good taste for fear.
i honestly cant think of anything but i just wanted to say those drawings are cool as fuck

Pontypool is alright, people will likely shit on it for being too pretentious though
The Shining is a classic and very atmospheric movie, very well done
see pic for a few movies as well
I used to see The Babadook mentioned on here a lot, but I haven't seen it yet. Good? Overrated?

The Enigma of Amigara Fault
Uzimaki (Spiral)
Anything else made by Junji Ito
For games, Witch's House is pretty fun
Creepypastas
Mr Mix (ending sucks though)
The Keyhole
Series
Poochie and Pansy
Alien 9
Tetsuo: The Iron Man
Jacob's Ladder
The Machinist
Eraserhead
The original paranormal activity fucked me up for weeks, as well as The Fourth Kind.
8MM haunted me for a long time as well, although it's more of a thriller I guess. The content is horrifying

All new horror movies are like this. They rely on jumpscares and sudden loud noises
The witch
Its more so extremely unsettling and disturbing than scary. I don't think it got as much credit as it should have, i thought it was pretty good.
