I read the old testament and came to the conclusion that there must be other gods, because of the language used. I only worship Yahweh and Christ though. Thoughts, from Christians or otherwise?

Yahweh is one and many, "other gods" are lesser versions of him. Of course you should know that the highest god has no name and just is. I'm talking about the thing that is above the "I am".

I believe it's in Exodus that God commands the Israelite army to sack the shrines of enemy gods to demonstrate his superiority over the 'the spirits of mountains and fields'.
This could indicate lesser spirits were being worshiped by other cultures, or it was a tactic for psychological warfare, or even some mix of both.

I believe that God said to Moses something along the lines of "I am that I am. There is no God above me."
Leading me to believe that God acknowledges other gods, but also acknowledges that there are none greater than he is.

Yes. I see them as aspects of god and sometimes it's easier to speak to the aspect you're interested in at the time, rather than the big boss.

The Bible teaches that there is only one true God. Other "gods" exist in the sense that they are entities that people worship.
