In the long run these tactics will only serve to destroy these memeplexes; they are using them now because they must, and as memes (like genes) don't have conscious foresight they cannot see that this will spell their own demise.

On 18 January 1943, the Germans began their second deportation of the Jews, which led to the first instance of armed insurgency within the Ghetto.
