It might be sleeping, anon. I had a bat get inside my house one night (absolutely no idea how) and thing was flying around all over the place, swooping near my head at random and unintentionally I assume. Just chilled with my new bat friend for the night dodging its aerial maneuvers, and then when the sun was rising it fell asleep on the floor. I approached it cautiously with a shoebox, ready for it to spring up and attack me, but it remained completely still. Managed to get it into the shoe box, and place it outside. Shook it out of the shoebox, thing didn't move at all as it plopped onto the deck.
