I have been practicing for the last couple months. I've got really good at visualizing.

Better sleep, more vivid and lucid dreaming, putting myself into the desired state of mind I want to be in. Also helps with hypnosis.

Any tips on starting?
General tips and books.

I don't and I don't think I need to in order to progress spiritually.

It seems kind if simple minded to me that so many people seem to believe that you can only progress spiritually if you do certain physical things.

I don't think you have to do a specific set of things in order to reach a certain state of concsiousness. I personally even claim that I can reach a meditave like state in almost any situation.
