Need smartfags to stop my brain from melting.
Photo is of landscape (obviously) facing south from peak of Mt. Brunswick in BC Canada. Peak is 5,866 ft.
Large mountain at farthest point is Mt. Rainier, 190 miles south. Mt. Rainier height is 14,411 ft.
According to calculations made here: https://dizzib.github.io/earth/curve-calc/?d0=190&h0=5866&unit=imperial
...approximately 40% of the lower portion of Mt. Rainier should be below the horizon.
I lived in Seattle for the first 22 years of my life. The silhouette of Mt. Rainier is permanently etched into my mind. None of Mt. Rainier is below the horizon in this photo.
Am I too stupid to live in reality, or am I getting a red pill enema?
