>Developed by Esteban de Garibay and Andrés Poza, this legend states that the Basque people are direct descendants of Tubal, grandson of Noah, fifth son of Japheth. According to the legend, Japheth and his tribe, the Iberians, departed to the Iberian Peninsula, settling between the Pyrenees and the river Ebro, right after the confusion of languages in the Tower of Babel.

>Then, the Basque language would be one of the 72 languages that were created as a punishment of God after the Tower of Babel

Not an expert, but I live in spain and i've heard some stories during my life
>>
>>18742366
my father is basque. nothing interesting just weirdness leftover from a non-indoeuropean culture.
>>
they have some interesting phenotypes. basques are weird looking. they provide credence to the legend of the 'Viracochas' that says basically red hair is a sign of divine or ancient provenance.

also their language is interesting.

>>18744871
hey espananon, storytime! teach us about the basques please. i would love to hear what people say about them in Spain.

I talked to a qt Basque girl once.

She said they are traditional goatherders, resourceful (eat all the parts of the meat), have matriarchal family lines and were heavy repressed/genocide tier during Franco era. Guernica, town in Basque land, was first place in human history to get plane fire-bombed (by Luftwaffe and Franco-ists iirc). Also Euskadi (Basque country ) has lot of cooperative economy, heavy public transport and apparently one of high human develop area of Spain.

Any Spain or Basque anons (probs super rare to find Basque anons on 4chan, especially on /x/ kek).

Also, how do I win heart of qt Basque women?

Basques are seriously hardcore lefties. They have a type on anarchism called "syndicalism" in the Basque country. I have family there who I haven't spoken to.
>>
>>18745217
You are Basque? Did your parents teach the language?
>>
>>18745223
I'm from Argentina so I was never around Basque speakers except for my dad. I can't communicate but I have been studying the language so i can connect with my heritage.

ETA it's a right wing organization.

But that's all I know of them besides the fact that their language doesn't comes from the Indo European, making them technically aliens.
>>
I lived in the area of France close to Spain for about 9 months, Basque was everywhere, the people would wear white and red and there was a festival every year where they'd dress up and drink, my mum still lives in that bit of France.

How open are Basque to dating non-Basque? In diaspora? I'm guessing no prob considering your father married non-Basque (your mom)?

What are Basque women like and what do they look for in men? If you don't know firsthand, I'm guessing your dad might have told you at some point? From stories of his childhood/young adulthood in Basque country before leaving to Argentina?

I want talk to that qt Basque woman again and win her heart. She so beautiful, intelligent and charismatic. Pls help, Basque-anon.

Don't they explicitly want a socialist state? And support IRA and PFLP in Palestine?

basques and catalans alike were spawned over a thousand years ago when a mohammedan prostitute sharted in an alley full of garbage

My mom is of dutch heritage and completely americano. Basques treat foreigners who know their language with fascination and respect. My family was given a massive land grant (called an encomienda) in the 1700s so my family is part of the upper tier of Argentine society. Ultimately my family traces back to a king of Navarre in the 10th century or something idk. But yeah they'd totally accept you as long as you aren't a jerk.

>>18745236
ETA is a separatist group whose objective was for the Basque Country or "Euskal Herria" to gain independence from Spain.
>>
>>18742366
I'm basque but I cant help you with this anon. There are very few clues about the early history of the basques. The only thing I can tell about us is that we really like to stand out as a different culture from Spain, especially when it comes to the language, almost to the point it becomes unbearable for some people.

Are Basque women the most beautiful women on the planet?

I'd say is either them or one of following: Iranian, Lebanese, Palestinian, Korean (north), Congolese, Algerian.

What do Basque women eat to be so gorgeous?

>How religious or secular is the Basque outlook on life?

Most families here instill some Roman-Catholic ideals upon their children but aren't too pushy about it. I would say that in San Sebastian people seem to do right most of the time regardless of whether or not they are religious.

>Any traditions still heavily practiced that ate passed down from pre-Roman or even pre-Indo Europe era?

The people here praise their old traditions and even hold week long festivals dedicated to them (Aste Nagusia). As far as practicing them, if you live away from the city, it is still the way of life.

>Do Basque have any special or hallucinogen plants they use in their native Euskadi?

Not that I know of. Weed has seen a huge increase in San Sebastian over the years though.

What's up with Basque language?

I've been looking at some Basque vocab, place-names etc and quite a few of them seem similar to indigenous American language

I mean, legit Aztec, Mayan, Navajo or Hopi-tier

Is there a connection? Were Basques god-tier navigators like the Polynesians and adapted some native American linguistic traits to their own? (Or vice versa?)

Am I way off?
