IMO as a software engineer this is a bit overblown. CIA wouldn't be able to "plant" coders to install backdoors, first because most of the software you use is coded nowhere near the US and if it is, it's probably by immigrants on a 6 month contract. Secondly, so many hands are involved in software coding that I highly doubt you can just plant one shill in there.
If they're doing anything they're prob doing it with the company's consent. Just saying.
