Both angeology and demonology are creepy, than that golden Era of western occultism (Agripa, Tritemius, Nattesheim, even up to Dee) is sorta the original, "real" version of nowdays pop culture movie witchcraft. Last week, I had a Deep Sea thread going. It was actually really nice, lots of weird and spooky shit in it. But it kept getting bumped off the front page by retards spamming their tulpa/skinwalker/flat earth/giant trees/divination bullshit non-stop. I had to create the thread on my phone off wifi, then bump it on my home IP. Oh, it hit post limit. I posted only like 20 times in it. But half of those were bumps from page 8 or so. 200+ replies thread getting buried under 2/3 replies shitposting threads.

Again, mods/janitors not giving a fuck. If they started deleting shitposts and banning repeat offenders, you'd immediately see an improvement in content quality. Don't even need to ban a lot of people, it's usually the same five autists spamming the board.

Holy shit 2012 was bad. /x/ was tripfag haven back then. I can remember two particularly bad ones, though I won't name them since I'm worried it might summon them. And you know what stopped it? Not just 2012 coming and going. It changed when moot had a massive "janitor hiring wave". A bunch of janitors got assigned to /x/ and boy did they clean up the place. The tripfags all got banned (the two really bad ones ban evaded like five times before getting the message) and shitposting got punished harshly. Hell, for a while, posting "ayy lmao" on /x/ would get you banned across all boards for three fucking days. That's how serious they were about stopping shitposters.
