I was doing some faith-related research (I've been basically excommunicated from my church, not officially, and no, I'm not Catholic), and I stumbled across the Stigmata, and the Stigmatics.
For those who don't know, the Stigmata is something that supposedly happens to Catholics who have such powerful faith that they are inflicted with the wounds of Christ.
What could cause this? Could it really be paranormal/supernatural/divine? Or is it simply a fake?
Some evidence for it being fake is that, according to a recent discovery, many Stigmatics have the wounds on their hands, where Christ would have been nailed through the wrists, through the Spot of Destot, a truth reflected in the Shroud of Turin.
