The reason we look so much like infant apes is because we most likely have undergone an evolutionary process in which sexual maturity keeps happening at a much younger age, which is why we have the similarities. It's why axolotols look like the larval forms of other salamanders, even when they're adults, but that's an extreme case. Humans exhibit neoteny compared to other apes, and that's why baby chimps seem to look so much like humans.

We may not realise it but our hairlessness (other primates are hairless in the womb), flat faces, prolonged childhoods (18-21 years to reach adulthood), and structure of the skull in general have proven this.

The reason for that is, we believe its a side-effect of triggering genes that allow longer and greater brain developer. Our development takes many many years longer but we never finish developing body-wise (to the standard of other primates)

Now theres something I noticed. Dogs and cats and other DOMESTICATED animals show the same pattern of neoteny that humans do. Trough selective breeding we made wolves more childlike in appearance and behaviour and created dogs.

What if some ayyy aliens did the same thing to us? Domesticated us trough selective breading and increased our development time/intelligence?

Well I read that all life started in Africa but they are still Africans around. So it is possible that some families simply stayed in there primative state and did not evolve like other members of the species who went up the evolutionary ladder.

No such thing as de evolution, if our IQ is decreasing or we are getting worse its because those traits are successful in the world that we live in.

Education, degrees, job etc does not make you a evolutionary success by themselves, having lots of children that survives to have children themselves does. The modern welfare states are using money from the first group to finance the second group so naturally it is going to get worse.
