This sorta thing blows my mind in the most unsettling way. For one, I consider the reality that at this very moment, there are people, in my country, who are being held captive and are utterly terrified. They live in a world very different from mine. A hell. But this hell isn't separate from my world. And its present, right now as I type. There are people dealing with the unimaginable mind-fuck of being held in terrible conditions, by complete strangers, in a location that they don't know. Damn, I can't remember her name now.
Laticia something. She was a young, gorgeous, college educated black chick who turned up dead in Laguna Beach. She had been suffering from some mental health issues.
After her body was discovered a mural popped up depicting what appeared to be her having sex.
Though police were blamed, and their work was sketchy as hell, many believe this mural was trying to tell us that she had been sold into sexual slavery.
Anyone know who I'm talking about??

It fascinates me in part because I found 0 discussion of the mural online. Just other shady circumstances surrounding her death.

I've often wondered what's the worse long term torture anybody has ever been subjected to. Have you ever heard of the murder of Junko Furuta? Basically these guys kept a girl alive for 40 days, torturing her the entire time. I wonder if there's ever been a case where somebody kept somebody alive for many years on end, torturing them like this. I wonder if there comes a point where you've been tortured so long you just die from psychological trauma.

On this day 6 years ago one of my friends disapppearred. Luke Joly Durocher was last seen leaving Cecil's Eatery after being denied admission because of his level of intoxication. He was with 4 other people, who I knew and still know. They went in and he left to one of their apartments, where his coat and cellphone were found... but he wasn't. His debit card was then found a week later, in a snowbank just down the road. The security cameras at Cecil's show him walking away from the bar and various other businesses piece in a timeline, but it doesn't add up. This guy was my friend, and it's the 6th anniversary since anybody knew anything about his whereabouts... how do these things happen? If anybody wants more info, I'll be refreshing the page for a lil while... there are some interesting tidbits about disinformation, what we as friends think happened, and even a psychics view if anybody wants to prod. Everybody just wants you home, buddy.

A psychic was called upon not knowing anything about Ontario, or Luke, or the area, and brought up a few details that stuck with the skeptics. Firstly, the dogs were led to a creek where they traced his scent, but nothing was pulled from the creek. He MAY have been gun-running/meeting an older married woman at a motel/meeting somebody to pay off a debt/ because these were all said at the time of disappearance and most have truth to them. But what are the chances that you run into somebody you owe money to in the hour it takes to walk a main street at night? 2 women went to jail 2 years ago for disinformation about what happened to them, and the police were sent on a goosechase all over my town and the town they were partying in.

We, as friends, all know he is dead. The idea that one of us knew more, or could have done or said something, truly tore apart a small community which is still on the path to recovery. Guy gets picked up, tied up, beaten, accidently too hard (or not?) and the body needs to be disposed of. To add insult to injury, a few of his closest friends moved in on his hot younger sister because he wasn't in the picture, and now it's taboo to talk about him. People hurt and will probably never stop hurting over this, and it bothers me that his name is remembered for the raw emotions it invokes, instead of the good memories he leaves behind.

My late uncle's house had a room like that, there was a fire in like 1989 and he just left it the way it was for 15 years. He also may or may not have murdered a couple people but that's unrelated.

Looks like there's some potential progression on it, with arresting two other family members that may be involved, since apparently the son's car was found outside their home. Hopefully they'll be found safe.

Maura Murray disappeared the evening of February 9, 2004, after crashing her car on Route 112 in Haverhill, New Hampshire. A nursing student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Murray left campus early that afternoon after packing her car and emailing her professors and work supervisor that she was taking a week off due to a family emergency. No family emergency existed. Due to her preparations and a lack of evidence of foul play, police investigators initially suggested she may have wanted to disappear and treated her case as a missing persons investigation, but her family and friends have maintained she was abducted.

Because you're an ignorant and credulous fool, like nearly every poster on /x/, you can't understand that most people report seeing her AFTER the fact.

No one looks at some woman during their Caribbean vacation and says "Hey, that's Amy Lyn Bradley!" Instead, they take a Caribbean vacation, see tens of thousands of people, go home, sometime later see a story about Bradley, and say "I think I saw her..."

I've a female relative who seriously claimed she'd seed an abducted child after watching some TV show. Trouble is the abduction had occurred 8 years earlier and she described a kid who looked like a picture from the time of the abduction.

I believe that some group of assholes most likely lured/forced Bradley into prostitution through drugs and intimidation. That happens all the time worldwide. It's how women are "recruited" into prostitution. I don't believe that Bradley was kidnapped off the cruise ship.

She walked off of her own free will and was then prevented from going back aboard. She was lured into a situation by the "exciting bad boy" too many women are too stupid to avoid, was first coaxed then coerced into increasingly dangerous choices and actions, and soon found herself a captive whore.

She stepped into the trap. What happened shouldn't have happened to anyone, but she stepped into it through a combination of stupidity and naivety.

What horrifies me the most isn't the fact that people go missing.

It's the fact that, right now, in almost every town in the entire world, there is at least one sick evil fuck who has or will at some point abduct and murder someone.

They are literally everywhere, and some are just opportunistic. They go out for a drive, see a kid on a bike and decide then and there for the first time ever to kidnap and murder the kid.

Dude, chill. It's pretty accepted that she was probably sold into sex slavery and is probably alive. Regardless of if the reports of her being seen were after the fact or not, the photos sent to her parents are pretty freaky and several accounts of her being alive and seen after her abduction are enough to at least make you raise an eyebrow.

There's also instances of people claiming she's told them her name, again as you said, easily mistakable or faked, but still, it's interesting to think about.
And Amy Bradley was kidnapped during the cruise. She wasn't some dumb girl who wandered off when they docked. She vanished while she went outside of her cabin to smoke, was immediately reported missing, THEN the ship docked despite the crew being on duty to prevent people from leaving the ship.
