Anybody have the source to the story about a man who finds out what it's like after death and begins saving other people from death?

The whole point of the story is that your consciousness doesn't move, and stays with our body for eternity. A possible hell metaphor in many ways.

I know someone has it on /x/ because I found out about it here.
