Well, when you're talking about magic (zappy zappy lightning kind) there used to be all kinds. And humans used to be able to use it. On two ends there was life, and destruction magic. I mean, you look at hermeticism and it's this system of magick that's very old. And not only that, but it's exact origins are shrouded in mystery. It's all very 'magical' stuff. It's exactly the kind of thing you think about when you hear words like 'esotericism' and 'mysticism'. And then you look at chaos magic, and they're basically saying that you can just do anything in any way you want and have a personalised, customisable magic system. You could replace the arcane incantations with lyrics from a song you like. You could be enlisting fucking Mickey Mouse for spiritual help instead of summoning a demon or contacting angels or any other kind of traditional spirtual being.

Naturally this is going to piss off a lot of magickfags because none of this shit is actually real and chaos magic has deconstructed magic to the point where it's made it very obvious that it's not real.
