I haven't played ouija before so im doing this alone, i play it at late night hours in a dark room with 3 candles on, so i make the first simply questions "Hi" "There someone in the room" but the planchet dosn't move
what could i be doing wrong? is it bad to play it alone?

What you're ment to do it spin it around in an oval, longer width wise so that it'd cover the letters while chanting "Ouija, ouija, is someone here?" or any other question.
After, wait for it to move on it's own, DO NOT apply too much pressure to it, when moving around or when the spirit/demon tries to move it, it's power will be weak to start with.
Doing it alone is alot safer than in groups as it avoids possession, however it's recommended to at least have someone else.
