Its not officially under one religion. Even though a lot of members are from the catholic ir judeo christian belief, you can find Jews, Muslims, even some budists. They worship their own form of "the great architect" (aka God).
There's also a higher tier (above grand master) which few people have ever gotten and fewer have talked about. They don't have hidden books per say, but "records" in large libraries. There's the story of Solomon which isn't technically included in the bible because its believed to not be pertinante to scripture. Counter argument being that all scripture should be read, no cherrypicking. As for the ruling class, the masons tend to have some connections with the Rothschild family, if I remember correctly. I don't think they've been involved in anything big lately, but rumour has it they might release a tablet of ancient Sumerian text to public sometime later (mainly because they had problems translating it)

No, it's just a KJV. The only difference between a normal "Freemason Bible" and an OES one, or a Scottish Rite one, would be the stamp on the cover, and a few extra plates in the front. Those vary depending on country and publisher anyway.

A lot of lodges don't even use the S&C stamped ones because they're a bit tacky. Or they'll use a Catholic translation because of the make up of the members, and so on.

It really is just a secret club. Nothing much else to it.. I asked a 3rd degree. I'm friends with a 33rd degree.

Really, think of it as being a part of a brotherhood. There are darker parts about being brothers if that's what you want to know about. But I doubt any higher ups will tell you or admit to what they do.
