hey guys, legitimate question here. i know this board is full of glorified LARPers but i really needed to ask this..
what's the significance of wolves howling? i have never heard it before in my life and this is after some very good things have been happening to me. i have been decidedly less religious in the past few days however. is this a sign? of some kind (any at all, not just religious)? for reference it started post-midnight.

They like to howl.

The wolf howl, either by luck or by what you might consider guided evolution, resonates with an extremely high-pitched (from its perspective) harmonic of the moon. The howl produces in humans alone, almost instantly and in almost all cases, a unique feeling of deep dread mixed with religious awe. This emotion represents a particular "food" required by the moon for its evolution. The famous "blood chilling" effect of wolf howls is the feeling of certain nutrients leaving the human body and being drawn toward the moon.
This is why wolves howl.

It's a booty call for wolves

They howl when they're satisfied. It is a celebratory sound.
They do not howl when they're hunting for food, or worried about strange animals encroaching on their land.
I know this from personal experience.
Some packs of humans do it, too.

while there may be some general meaning to some species of animals manifesting themselves to one, you will profit more from intuiting what the message is for you in particular, and you do that by letting your unconscious wash over your waking mind
the practice that develops this ability is divination
