Never vibed with me.

I can astral project and the most exciting things I saw were unknown creatures, thriving cities and scenic landscape.

I imagine that forming a place that you already can picture would be drab.

dunno what your defenition of a mind palace is. it is just a technique you can use.

you use something that is familliar to you, like your own house. Walk in it in you mind. connect random or silly stuff to stuff you want to remember. it is all about association really

It was covered pretty well in both Jose Silva's Ultramind system as well as the book High Magick. Like anything worthwhile, it isn't easy.

My experience was down the road of Chaos Magick, but really it's a tool that is adaptable to whatever you want to achieve. I always thought of it as my lab, but that construct suits me. I would do Sigil work, Astral Travel, ESP, healing, or just problem solving. Very useful if you can develop the skill.

I actually have done this my entire life.

I usually check it out before bed. Its a nice palace with female guards. Upon entering i have important info carved into the wall like family birthdays and anniversaries.lots of open space with a comfy throne to sit in and experiment making creations. I create neato stuff like scorpion people or abstract concepts.Outside there is a quiet village with a river running through it. They mostly herd sheep and bug me for stuff, but they are good people.

I have a mindscape (similar in concept to mind palace) but it's not nice. I have DID (used to be known as multiple personality disorder) and its what I get forced into when another personality is fronting.

If I've become aggressive or likely to harm myself, I get physically restrained in the mindscape. Otherwise it's like being trapped in an endless dark room, like a circle that still has "corners" and I can only see through a keyhole, which is why I can't remember 90% of what happens when another personality is fronting.

I can't imagine a mind palace being powerful enough to do much, but I do have a personality that never fronts, he just stores memories away in filing cabinets and shit. It's how my body represses memories.

It's a pretty common technique for memory champions. The more you practice the more you can push the limits of it.

How do you perceive it all consistently?

I mean, reality is still waiting when you turn away from it and then look back at it, but you would have to re-imagine it to look around in a mind palace. The only way it would work is if it were dreamlike, which means inconistent and probably incoherent.
