The video in OP is a hoax that was made by a guy named Leroy Blevins. He put a lot of work into making a replica of the Patterson suit and that video was his test of it. He talked about the whole thing on a bigfoot forum before the video came out, even how he'd made a baby bigfoot puppet. When that video came out, he denied it was him, but everyone that saw the shit he was writing about knew it was his work.

By the way, Leroy is crazy as fuck. He's a hardcore fundie and literally thinks bigfeet are descendants of Esau, so he has put a lot of effort into proving them real because he thinks it will prove his brand of Christianity right. So why call the Patterson film a hoax and replicate the suit if he's a harcore believer? Because he's seen real bigfeet, and they look nothing like the Patterson film, so he knows it's a fake. The Native stories that people try to tie to bigfoot really have little to do with the phenomenon if you actually examine them and consider them without the idea that they're supposed to be about bigfoot. They usually describe very different kinds of beings, and exist in contexts that are incomparable with bigfoot stories. Wayne Suttles has a really good article that's a good summary about why.
