Mysterious Earthworks Found in the Amazon

More than 450 large geometrical geoglyphs have been discovered in areas cleared by deforestation. Created over 2,000 years ago by an ancient people who once lived in the region, these mysterious earthworks have cast doubt on the idea that the rainforest ecosystem had remained untouched by humans until the modern age. The exact purpose of these structures however continues to remain a matter of some debate. A lack of artefacts at the sites makes it unlikely that they were used for habitation and their layout suggests that they were not designed to be defensive structures either. The most likely explanation is that they were some sort of ritual sites.

"The fact that these sites lay hidden for centuries beneath mature rainforest really challenges the idea that Amazonian forests are 'pristine ecosystems'," said researcher Jennifer Watling. "We immediately wanted to know whether the region was already forested when the geoglyphs were built, and to what extent people impacted the landscape to build these earthworks."

Wednesday: Edgar Cayce Updated/ Hauntings and Exorcisms

In the first half, executive director and CEO of Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment Kevin Todeschi discussed how Cayce's material speaks to us today in a way that has never before been explored. In the second half, paranormal pioneer Steven LaChance discussed his book about a case of possession and exorcism that inspired the book and movie story of The Exorcist.


Thursday: Precolumbian Americans/ Regaining Your Life With Prayer

In the first half of the program, former environmental activist Carl Lehrburger discussed developments in industrial hemp and the power of cannabinoids, as well as his work studying archaeological and sacred sites in North America. In the second half, Jim Paris discussed his remarkable story of going bankrupt and his journey back from the brink of suicide.


Friday: The Moon, Superstitions & Amazing Facts

In the first half of the program, George Noory welcomed Charles Reichblum, author of the "Knowledge in a Nutshell" book series, for a discussion on the moon, superstitions, and other amazing facts gleaned from his years of research. Open Lines followed.

Baker and featured progressive hotel amenities including the first Olympic size hotel swimming pool, air conditioning, circulating ice water for the guest rooms, automatic light controls to turn off lights when guests leave the room and lock their doors, and valet doors for dry cleaning to keep hotel employees from disturbing the guests. Doing well throughout the Great Depression, the Baker hosted many celebrity music performers and a long list of legendary guests including Lyndon Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Marlene Dietrich, Clark Gable, Judy Garland, Roy Rogers, the Three Stooges, and Bonnie and Clyde.

Astonishing Legends: The Kecksburg Incident

So often the event of a mysterious object falling to earth has too few witnesses or leaves no evidence, but this is not the case with the “Kecksburg UFO Incident” — unless you ask the US Army. On December 9, 1965, a fiery object streaked across the afternoon skies over at least six US states and Ontario, Canada and was seen by thousands, with many claiming it even seemed to be under “intelligent control.” The object crash-landed in the woods near Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, where first-responders and local eye-witnesses said it looked like a giant acorn with some reporting strange lettering around a band near the bottom that resembled Egyptian hieroglyphs. If it was only a meteor as was first reported, then the Army and unknown government agents sure took an immediate interest in a commonplace astronomical event, cordoning off the crash site and hauling away the object and other possible items on flatbed trucks under tight security. So what was it? Tonight we ask Multi-state Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Director, John Ventre, who along with engineer and researcher Owen Eichler, have come up with a hypothesis that might be the most plausible explanation for the identity of this object, although of course some credible researchers still have questions.
