From my perspective, if it doesn't throw you off of your path in life, as in: it doesn't cause unbalance, it may just happen.

As of writing this, I've realised that I didn't take into account space and different perception of different beings. It usually takes brain contact, aliens may not have brains but you may have luck contacting the mind of a being that has lived the life of a being on other planets (I've heard from channelers there are others out there). But if you're lucky you can get real contact.
It's very unlikely to happen without your guides' helping you create this experience. It's very complex.
You'll find a lot of experiences are influenced by guides. Not that humans are incapable of doing things for themselves but more and more I am seeing experiences people have as clearly guided.
