He finished 3rd in a computing contest in 1989. An accomplishment to be sure but it hardly makes him a super computing genius or the Father of the Internet. In fact, Arpanet had been in place for sometime before Emeagwali ever touched a computer. For results of the 1989 Gordon Bell competition check out the May, 1990 edition of IEEE Software Magazine page 100.

This was pure insanity of course and he lost both his spurious law suit without a trial and the appeal was also booted. He is not a Doctor now, he never was a Doctor nor will he ever be a Doctor.
