Any southern Albertafags here? In 1986 a friend & I were bombing down a road NW of Cochrane just south of Sundre one night around 1 AM. In the middle of no where we start seeing a couple dozen vehicles parked on both sides of the road. Wut the..? As we reduce speed & kick down the high beams, I look around & see no one in the rural darkness. My buddy (who lives in the region) started getting concerned.

As we crested a rise in the road our headlights picked up a line of people holding hands facing us & blocking the road, wearing white hooded robes just like the KKK. My friend said "this ain't right!" & instantly reacted by punching the accelerator, hitting the hi-beams, and shouting for me to get down!

We blew thru them without hitting anyone (assumed they jumped aside). I was like wtf was that all about?!? Buddy says we saw something we shouldn't have seen. And he was fully alert in soldier mode & constantly watching his rearview mirror. He was dead set against reporting it to the RCMP in town as he said it wasn't safe as several of them were into some sketchy stuff.

That's when I found out that the region is one of Canada's hotspots for animal mutilations among other things. It is 1 of 2 weird things that I witnessed in that same area.

Fellow Albertafag. My brother just moved out of Cochrane. I've heard of weird shit in southern Alberta (mostly ghosts and rez stories) but nothing like that. That scares the shit outta me. Cults and shit so close to home. If you've go more please share

yeah. It still happens sometimes in the south down here. I have a cousin who lives in the mid-west and says it has happened up there as well. Its a pretty easy maneuver for car jackings and robberies on desolate stresses of roads. It only got on the news because that idiot tried it on a major road near a populated area
