I've read reports in the interdimensional telescope, is there any weight to it? It's a cute form of Pascal's Wager for the post-modern crowd, but I doubt we'll ever reach a singularity, due to the practicality of having it and the clear-cut restraints we're already able to enact on AI's as-is.

It would have to have self-reliance and complete autonomy in order to be any sort of a threat, and even then, the logic behind it is based on a more human understanding of morality and not that of a machines morality.

If it were truly a malevolent machine, it would torture people regardless, and if it weren't malevolent, it would have no logical reason to function that way, so it's a very one-sided argument entrenched in memes by transhumanist shitlords.
