The closest I've came to doing it is when I was in an isolation chamber-isolated from the 5 worldly senses as best as possible. But I was still connected to the physical world via my awareness of time. In the next year, I plan to temporarily eliminate my knowledge of the physical manifestation of time by locking myself In a room with no windows or clocks for 3-4 days (or until someone comes and gets me out) and then re-entering the isolation chamber.
