Yes.

Can't you just consider life or society or anything else the 'activation' of archetypes?
I mean. Archetypes are found in normal every day to day life. I don't see why war has to be a factor. Maybe it just manifests a lot more clearly during war.

War is a massive process consisting of the violent grouping of ideologically antagonistic human forces. That is why I consider it important to declare that it is an activation of archetypes, in the sense that it destroys the established order that maintains peace. It is the destructive face of chaos.
What strikes me is how human rationality can lead to this barbaric act, I think the primitive side of the archetypes is evident, so I mentioned it.
War is a force that gives us meaning.

Same thing claim all archetypes.
I don't buy it.

I do think it brings out the barbaric nature into full view. I agree on that. But I also think it's nuanced in day to day activities. Small little things that the archetypes shine it.
Would someone give me a run down on Archetypes as used in this threads context?
I've vaguely heard the term in association with psychology.

I think it's being used as an umbrella term here. But often you can find the 'generally used' ones through Carl Jung.
Just Google "Jungian Archetypes".
