To speak on the title of your thread, OP, I do believe you can. For years I abused masturbation, marijuana, cigarettes and Benadryl. Looking back I'm pretty sure I teetered on the verge of psychosis (there were times I could've been legitimately diagnosed with schizo from all the abuse), but I honestly wouldn't trade it for the world. The entire time I felt like I was learning, exploring and pushing the boundaries of my imagination. Never once did I feel stagnant or stuck.
