I used to lucid dream on daily basis until a year ago or so, then I gradually stopped being able to see or to become lucid when I dream.
It's annoying because even if I notice I'm dreaming I don't become lucid, nor get control over the dream, It's almost as if I'm dreaming about me noticing that I was in a dream.
As for not being able to see, I kind of "feel" what things I should be seeing and even their colors... But I don't actually see them.
I remember this has been changing progressively, with stuff such as waking up, then writing about the dream and before I finish writing having to change the color because I remembered the color to be actually different.
Any tips? I kind of miss being able to lucid dream and having regular dreams where I can see so vividly.

Start to meditate, if you can try to focus on crown chakra and/or third eye.
That's about it, also start exercising/eating healthy but that's optional.

Maybe you have aphantasia now. There have been quite a few post about it . Also, no idea on the lucid dreams thing.

Will give it a try, a few years ago I did a trial run but since I couldn't feel any benefits in three months I decided to quit.

Didn't know that aphantasia existed, just for reference, I have never been able to use imagery but I could properly dream. Also I have only had one surgery (an appendicitis surgery) around 3 years ago.

Similar problem op bud different. I can lucid dream 90% of the time. The other 10% i see a certain girl i should have dated long ago. Its like when my subconscious sees her, it takse over and im forced to watch and cant say a word to her. Its killing me on the inside.
