A funny coincidence is that in the game Chrono Trigger that involves time travel the mythical hyper advanced floating "Kingdom of Zeal" sinks into the frozen ocean in 10,000 B.C. Which coincides with our own real life ice age.
The map of Zeal even looks like a fragmented Antarctica when you piece it together.

This implies someone who made this game made this connection somehow and led some /x/philes to believe that Atlantis might be under Antarctica although perhaps not as a floating city.

Chinese have had legends about floating islands for some time. I remember some TV programme saw these scrolls about said islands and went to the region where it was recorded - next thing y'know - guess what pops up, visible from the shore? Yup. Floating islands. As regards, those Youtube videos of floating cities, I have not paid them too much attention due to the floating islands programme I seen, but also because I do not know the true context and am aware it could be faked with some 133720r video editing software.
As regards "Blue Beam", that is direct neural stimulation of the human nervous system via mobile phone masts, look at V2K, brontophonics, synthetic telepathy etc.
It's only in Scooby-Doo that alien invasions can be faked with a powerful torch, some cotton buds, and dental floss - so disregard any thoughts of a global array of "hologram projectors" for this concept.

It was a mirage on a really hot day. There are already a few islands in the area. I have spent the past 15 mins looking for "Scrolls, Chinese, floating islands" but I'm only getting a load of hippy art. The artwork depicting these legendary islands is maybe about 100 - 150 years old, at least, going by the style. Searches (word searches) are bringing up Chinas' current militarization of the South China seas...
