What is the deal with mirrors in dreams?
>last night, dreaming
>look into a mirror
>i look mortally depressed, with greenish skin and emanating a terrible creepy zombie aura, even though i don't actually dead aside from the skin
>unlike the rest of this dream, this was incredibly vivid
Fucking horrifying. What's the deal?

mirrors are tricky Fuckers
one day they help you look good
the next they grab you by the face and suck you into another timeline where there is only one white presidents and the rest are dune coons

Yeah what's the deal with that?

our subconscious mind can't comprehend mirrors. Same with reading. we can see some words or phrases, but things are usually all jumbled or won't make sense if you're aware enough in your dreams.
My belief is that most subconscious minds simply aren't aware and are dormant. Like a weak muscle that atrophied, or never gets used. Think of animals that fail the mirror test. subconsciously, I think most of us are on a level past most animals in terms of the self-recognition test, given that we are sentient being. we know what mirrors do, we just can't fully process them unless we connect our subconscious more to the conscious, logical side.

It's interesting stuff, any lucid dreamers wanna share what they experience when staring into mirrors while lucid?

You know same shit happened to me in a dream. Looked into it and saw myself with three wild and sharp eyes. I got excited and scared simultaneously.

And to continue, given our level of consciousness as sentient beings, while we dream, mirrors become canvas-like or a void where what we can't control, will sometimes fill in that void.
fear, can produce scary reflections/images, while awareness and clarity can produce a more accurate picture.

Funny you should ask. The shock from looking in a mirror is strong enough to knock out out from a lucid dream even, which is exactly what happened to me last night. My face looked like it was beat with hockey sticks for 7 hours and then left for 2 days out on the sun.
