Tbh I would highly recommend tulpa creation, as long as you use the old guides. These newer ones, while I cannot personally speak to their usefulness, seem to be designed a bit too loosely for good progress, and normally don't suggest any of the helpful practices like meditation or aimed personality creation. It's all hippie style these days, "just let it all emerge naturally", etc.
