Astral projection is just lucid dreaming but convincing yourself that it's real.

Look up Wake-Induced Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projection and you'll find that the methods are almost exactly the same.

There is no question that it's the same process. But that doesn't mean it's not real. The difference between lucid dreaming and astral projection is that during a lucid dream you're in a different dimension where stuff seems weird and out of the ordinary , but during astral projection you're still in this dimension , just free of all the physical boundaries.
