Abandoned Buildings/Urban Decay thread.
I've scoured the bowels of internet for some fresh specimens.
Kinda surprised that human remains still exist at the bottom of the sea.
Being stuck in traffic sucked back then too.
You can almost hear their tortured screams.
An entire town submerged and frozen over within 200 year's time.
Venice is sinking into the ocean. People were wise to abandon the lower levels of the city.
Amazing photos, thanks for posting.

>Nope
Where is that by the way?
>>18502216
But wait! There's more!
Would YOU walk on cracked ice to check out an old submarine base?
May I take your....brain?
>>18502148
Apparently water temp has something to due with condition/completeness of the remains. Lake Superior in the US is supposed to be cold enough that bodies from over 100 years ago might still be somewhat intact. Can you imagine being a newbie diver or having a camera sub and finding something lie that? Confused Nautical sharting ensues.

Alright fag, I know you're prolly a stay-at-home "wizard", but seriously, stop posting jpgs from jewish dating sites. 4chan doesn't need another copyright lawsuit just because you like your women like I like my steaks.
Dipshit.

Adipocere can do that. The body fat turns into a very hard, wax-like shell, while the rest rots away. It's a huge problem in European graveyards as the bodies are supposed to rot in order for the tombs to be re-used.
This guy here drowned in Lake Brienz, Switzerland in the 1700s and was washed ashore in 2010.

That's just like a level from Quake II.

if Last of Us 2 doesn't have this as a multiplayer map I'm gonna be awful dissapointed.
Gone are the days of cool-looking 3-story houses.

this is depressing like, in a good way. imagine someone looking at this long after we were gone. it's exciting for some reason
Thinking of trying this out for myself soon, any tips? There's an abandoned asylum near where I live.

Most important things you need are a flashlight and a camera.
Flashlight is good for the dark, obviously, and you can use a camera to explain away you being there as part of a photography or college course.
Doesn't work every time, but it's a better reason than you wanting to bomb up the place or shoot dope in the dark, and sometimes that's all you need to get off with a slap on the wrist rather than a criminal record.
Medicals never hurt, just in case. Make sure you have your shots unless you want limbs to fall off.
Always tell someone where you're going so you don't get stuck and die because nobody knows where you are.
Generally, you want someone else with you.
Your ears are going to be your most important sense. Scout the place out by listening for people already inside it. It could be guards patrolling, or some junkie who could stab you because he's a drugged-up loon. Only progress when you know you and your friends are alone and/or safe. Be a ninja.
Watch where you step. Some guy fell three stories to his death in a place near me just last year, because he stepped on a loose metal grate covering a hole in the floor. Besides killing you, it'll raise heat in the area, making it really difficult for others to check out the place. Generally a dick move.
Above all, use common sense. Don't be an idiot.
Recently explored an abandoned village in Saitama. Surprisingly a lot of stuff left behind. Based on the artifacts I think it was abandoned in the early 2000s. I didn't take so many pics but here's a few...
>>18513156
Why do people not tie each other together with rope just in case someone DOES fall?
>>18513199
>>18513202
>>18513201
Because not being retarded enough to actually fall generally comes easier to people.
>>18513209
Sorry, I'm not sure why they are uploading horizontally.
Oh here: We found vintage j porn in a lot of the houses.
>>18513216
Apparently weren't the first ones here. It says "goodnight"
>>18513219
Meh I got a few more but them uploading the wrong way is annoying. Anywhere here's one more.
Anyway it was apparently once a town called Nichitsu located in the Chichibu area of Saitama. It's really deep in the mountains and there was next no cell phone reception. Possibly a squatter living there as we found one room with fresh food, new porn, and a hoard of girls underwear.

+ Camera phones store orientation in .exif
+ 4chan strips .exif
+ pics end up being posted oriented weird ways
One Solution: Open pics in M$Paint, save oriented correctly, post that pic. -M$Paint doesn't use .exif for orientation, 4chan posts pic correctly
>>18513211
>floor gives way suddenly
>lul what a faggot
Don't go exploring anon.
>>18513228
why was it abandoned?
>>18513254
The floor didn't collapse. It was a thin square of metal left loose over a gaping hole in the concrete floor on the third story that was easily visible from the first.
The dude in question wasn't watching where he was going and stepped on it, and the whole metal grate fell through with him.
The point is - watch where you're bloody going. Watch your step or you risk serious injury and potential death.

Leave nothing but footsteps and be careful
>>18513261
Well I don't know the real answer to that but it was most definitely a mining town. It was quite a big village which included a school, kindergarten, a fire department, and several resources for the workers and their families living there. Either the mine ran out, the mine caught fire, or the company went bankrupt.
Further down the mountain there was a much newer mining town so more than likely everyone just slowly migrated down toward the new mine. It is very weird that they left so many things behind, including some expensive looking kimono, tvs, and radio equipment.
>>18513246
Ah, I see! Thank you. Is there an easy way to fix it on my phone ? Just flip the picture sideways?
