For the love of god, please no hex/binary shit. It takes literally five seconds to decode if you look up "binary decode". It's a useless "obstacle".

Make one that involves the internet more than the real world if travel will be an issue or make sure everything is set in place before you start your game.

There used to be a huge forum for ARGs i dunno if it's still around. It was popular when Marble Hornets and other slender series were popular but i'm not sure of the status now..
