I googled "Ark of the Covenant photos" and reversed image search on the photo that popped up.
Couldn't really find much more than that.
Ron Wyatt, a "pseudo" archeologist claimed to have found it before he died. I don't know if this is a photo of it or not.
I also think the Ethiopians claim to have it, but I don't know much past that about their claim.

I remember the Ron Morehead story -- very interesting to say the least. I don't know if he's telling the truth. But I do know he was steadfast in his faith until the very end.

The interesting thing is, the Ark of the Covenant would never be In a state of disrepair. It would be solid gold, with precious gems, etc..Angels guard each side of it. To touch it is to die.

The Ark is the seat of God on earth -- it would never be shown or photographed in a decrepit cave shaft, and it certainly wouldn't look like this. This is a semi decent recreation, but nowhere near the real thing or convey its true awesome power.

as to your question, as far as i know, no. once the ark disappears it is never mentioned again and it plays no significant role in prophesy.
