So me and a buddy stumbled onto this website.

lab.serotoninphobia.info

played some "games" we got into it and found out how weird it really was. Followed a bunch of IPs and whatever the fuck HTMLS and tumblr links and shit and found a wbesite for a place called Yondermore consulting.

I can barely find any information on this shit but the little I could find it's described as an "Abusive non-game".

Well we signed up for some shit, joined their weebsite took a short survey, got some emails back from them it was all yucks and stuff. I don't think we reached the final end because a few of the emails discussed following "the right steps"

But before any of that, my buddy messaged me on facebook and asked me if I meant to post the Yondermore logo on purpose.

I didn't.

I don't knwo what the fuck happened but I CCleaned my computer, changed my passwords and basically just cleaned house.

Now I don't want to look into it anymore I was hoping you guys would know something?

Serotoninphobia seems to randomly jump from subject to subject.
It is apparently a pharmaceutical company making products to treat phobias and manias. There are "experiments" which are weird non-games, apparently designed for indie games.
There's also several museum exhibitions, apparently all about a "subspecies of homosapiens discovered in the deepsea".

Yondermore seems to have the same WhoIs as serotoninphobia. It's apparently some sort of weird corporation dealing with ambiguous things. You can sign up and apply for a job, which is where we gave up after the facebook hijacking shit happened.

If you guys plan to do any investigating of your own, godspeed and be safe.

I had some weird shit like this happen to me once. I was in 7th grade playing runescape and someone hijacked my computer from another computer. not OP but buddy

Okay, so, SO FAR AS I CAN TELL, this is not genuinely anything malicious. I think it's a weird art project/game. Yondermore on a search comes up on a list of game dev's things, where it's described as an "abusive anti-game designed to bully the player."
It seems to be created by the same person who made serotoninphobia, a chinese guy named ZhiRuo Dong. I also found a facebook page for Yondermore, with a single post on the wall from a guy named Edward Cheng.

Most tellingly is that there's an odd connection with indie games. On top of all the weird little games on serotonin, allegedly made for game jams, I found a flyer for a probably fictional indie game festival in Shanghai which mentioned some real indie games by name, like Johann Sebastian Joust.

MY APPROXIMATE GUESS: Serotoninphobia is this dude's main page where he hosts his experimental games and abstract art bullshit. Yondermore takes place in the same 'universe' as the SerotoninPhobia pharmacy company, there's a post advertising their alliance.

If you go to the Yondermore website you can sign up, they'll give you a key to log in to the site after playing some weird animation of distorted stock images and text. From there you can apply for a job, and this is where the "non-game" begins.

I don't know how malicious the game is. The shit could steal your bank account, passwords, be a R.A.T., I dunno. If you investigate, be safe.

I'll be dumping some of the finds now. This is an email received after 'applying' for the job.

Even though this starts to fall apart about 3 paragraphs in it's pretty much the most legible text anywhere in this whole thing. Seems to be insight into the "lore" of all this. Given that all the musuem exhibits are social media images, old RPG screencaps, etc. it could be implying that humanity is now an ancient species who were sunk to the bottom of the ocean.

Maybe this is all some shit about global warming idk

Last notable thing, there's a 'survey' once you register on the Yondermore site of mostly nonsense questions, this is what I received after completing it.

OK so again, in summary

in the real world, this is probably a art project and indie gaming experiment, with possible malicious intent behind it.

In the 'lore' of these sites, Yondermore and Serotoninphobia are nonhuman entities who are vague companies doing things that are probably bad. Humanity seem to be sea creatures now, or at least considered as such.
>>
In a different thread discussing Worldcorp Enterprises it was unearthed that they do a lot of investing in the medical field under the guise minor corporate branches.

I don't know what the hell you've come upon OP but it's probably one of their branches that serve solely as an investment company. Maybe they're exploiting some tax loophole or something through start-up businesses or something, but it's probably nothing more sinister than financial gain.

Oh and CCleaner doesn't do shit to wipe you computer.
>>
>>18495017

Sorry, I'm unfamiliar - what is Worldcorp Enterprises? I assumed the first guy was fucking around, since a search only came up with links to deleted youtube videos and an apparent debunking saying it was some art project.
>>
>>18494991
>we might identify the purpose for which information is being collected
>might

Oh, well thank God they MIGHT decide to do that.
>>
>>18495020

It was claimed to be part of some piece of modern art, yeah. However the investments they made were all real, with actual money, that was received as "donations".

I'm sadly posting from my phone, so I can't help you much without it being a huge hassle. Have you tried hitting up the archives? The thread about it isn't terribly old.
>>
>>18495020
Worldcorp was a real thing though, and it was taken down under the guise of being some experimental piece of modern art or something. The company did create a ton of minor branches though that made strange economic decisions and had odd wording, like the one you stumbled upon.
>>
>>18495017

It does however delete a shitload of caches and cookies and shit.

I was worried about remnants of their shit in my browser.

Thanks. This the one?
>>
>>18495020
>what is Worldcorp Enterprises?

Not that Anon, but I remember a lot of weird receipts coming up when /x/ was all over it for a little while. They made their own minor companies with odd names, and then the parent company would invest in the minor ones and call them donations for some reason. Like he said it might just be a taxation thing or something, but a lot of their companies don't seem to DO anything.
>>
>>18495036

True, but the stinger is still in there. Most corporate websites log the addresses of people who visit for "security reasons". Especially those corporations with something to hide or who protect "sensitive material".

Like in my country it is illegal for hospitals NOT to register all adresse.

Hope you were using TOR at least.

So it seems like this is the end of the road so far. I'm too IT illiterate and spooked to feel safe investigating any further.

If anyone feels like investigating, sign up for Yondermore, then at the top of the page once you login there's a thing that says "Join Us!" and that's where we were. If you're going in, let us know. Godspeed, and post any findings.
>>
>>18495010
God that's fucking creepy...
>>
>>18495061

Well a few tripfags who were doing particularly well digging up shit in the Worldcorp arc (I refuse to belive this isn't a game, so I'll call it "arc") suddenly stopped posting.

It's unknown what happened to them, but they dug up a lot of interesting facts. Among others some receipts from Worldcorp linking them to smaller companies that essentially offered vague "consultations".

Don't know if that's the people he's referring to.

The common denominator between Worldcorp affiliates tends to bet that they act very professional, but don't actually seem to offer any service.

Like, there was one that was called "Electroharmony" or something, which focused heavily on "personalization" and "customer service", but never really specified what it was they were willing to offer the consumer.

Instead of mindless speculation I will offer the top theories I tend to see about these oddball corporate sites in these threads (in no order):

>ARG
It's simply a game, and they want us to keep poking until something falls out.

>aliens
Aliens think they're contacting us in the maner of which we are accustomed.

>FBI/CIA/Government
This is a little vague, but this theory is anything from conspiracy to communicating with sleeper agents on foreign soil.

>art project
It's just there to be artsy. Like most modern art, it doesn't exist for a reason it's just "there to be there" and creep people out.

>AI
Some AI is trying to convince us it's sentient enough to fool us into thinking it's a corporation. This might explain some of the oddball phrasing and terms used.

>Satan/God/Some deity like it
I don't know what the theory is here, but I see this every now and then.

They only say dumb, pseudo deep crap when they have no useful information to give. Don't focus on what specifically they're saying, because it's just nonsense. Think of it as a really flowery and indirect way of saying "I don't fuckin know, man." Browsing this board is much easier once you figure that out.
>>
>>18494873
That wasn't a fellow student. Teachers use that to monitor activity. I remember getting embarrassed as shit by my teacher who saw something really weird that I was browsing and put it on the projector for the whole class to read. Wasn't like porn or anything. More like the weird sites you find around here occasionally. Not only could she do that but she took control of the mouse from her computer and started going back through all the previous pages as well, till she got bored of making the entire class laugh at me.
>>
>>18495183
Yeah my comp sci teacher would catch me playing wow private servers at school and put my screen on the projector and just look at me passive aggressively until I quit. I just kept going until he assumed direct control and alt-f4'd it.

Believe it or not I had a nearly identical scenario happen to me around the same time period. Got annoyed and opened up a word doc to talk to the guy. The conversation unfolded in such a way that I think I may have talked to two people, one who seemed to find more novelty in the situation, and then later, one who was alarmed that there was a written log of the conversation, tried to delete it all immediately, and disconnected. Strange times. I used to wonder for a long night time if I imagined the whole thing.
