>Die Glocke (pronounced [diː ˈɡlɔkə], German for "The Bell") was a purported top secret Nazi scientific technological device, secret weapon, or Wunderwaffe. Described by Polish journalist and author Igor Witkowski in Prawda o Wunderwaffe (2000), it was later popularized by military journalist and author Nick Cook as well as by writers such as Joseph P. Farrell and others who associate it with Nazi occultism and antigravity or free energy research.
>According to Patrick Kiger writing in National Geographic magazine, Die Glocke has become a popular subject of speculation and a following similar to science fiction fandom exists around it and other alleged Nazi "miracle weapons" or Wunderwaffen. Mainstream reviewers such as former aerospace scientist David Myhra express skepticism that such a device ever actually existed.

What do we actually know about the Bell? Ignoring wildass conjecture, of course.

"The Hunt for Zero Point" by Nick Cook -- highly recommended.

Cook worked for JANES. He got interested in Nazi tech, this is his book about his investigations. It is not OMG UFO/Iron Sky! silliness. It's a look into what the Nazis were up to.

Bottom line/Spoilers: The Nazis had many interesting ideas. In particular using high speed rotating disks to create vacuums for lift/Zero Point energy; BUT the whole project was so power hungry they were running it directly connected to a huge generator at the base of a waterfall -- kind of problematic extension-cord wise for real-life avionics use. Nazis had nowhere near enough time to follow through on their ideas as the War ended. Almost all the data and prototypes vanished at war's end -- Paperclip? Russia? Elsewhere? Destroyed? Hidden Still? Author not sure.

Tl:dr Nazis had cool stuff, but teams USSR & USA kicked their ass before it got anywhere near production level.

So it was just for wingless aircraft?

Im not the OP but i read tonns of book on the subject so here is the story:
At the end of WW2 a group of soldiers found an underground facility in poland that was used by the germans. The Facility was completly empty except one thing the BELL. It is said that when it was approached by some of the soldiers it somehow actived a defense mechanism which killed almost everyone in 100 meter radius, turning bones into something gelly and poping eyeballs like a ballon. 2 other things are often mentioned together with this:
#1: "The Hinge" which is a stonehendge like structure made of concrete, and said to be used as a training ground or something with the Bell
#2: "Kecksburg Acorn" which looks pretty similar to the Bell but happened 20 years later and in the USA.

thats what i know, feel free to ask if something not clear!

This bell thingy reminds me of giant nuke, fatboy sorta.

Nazis were close to building one, so

Fatman you mean. Fatman was weird for having a plutonium core you know.

It was a zero point energy engine/motor/propulsion technology, so in sbort its the heart that had to be put into a vessel to achieve light speed and above. It ahould be noted that we have come a loooooooong way since then and cerebral controlled propulsion is a thing as yer brain is quicker than handheld controls. Digits of truth please.
>>
>>18460601
They weren't close to building nukes at all actually. Albert Speer talks about it in his book.

I read Nick Cook's book cover to cover.

The German airforce wasn't in on it. It was a secret program run by the SS. It was kept and tested in an isolated and well insulated location. It was said to be hazardous and required large power cables to get it started up. All the scientists who worked on it directly were killed either by working on it or by the SS at the end of the experiments.

The interior is described as having a spherical power source and two rotating devices which generated some sort of a field effect.

Great book, read it years ago. Glad it is still out there being read.

The Bell was a radio beacon. It was the only project deemed war-decisive by the national socialists, as they believed that only through external help they would win the war. It worked, and we've recently begun receiving radio signals from a star system about 70 light-years away: the same amount of time it would take the signals from the Bell to reach it. Make of that what you will.
>>
>>18465400
tell me more about these radio signals from 70 light years plz

richtofen used the bell to transport himself and the other throughout time.

The 70 light years radio emission theory makes sense if we take in consideration the strange "allies" the German's had witnessed during one part of the war

I think he's talking aboout the 94 lightyears away signal detected in Russia.

Now isn't that a kind of sexy number there.
