I don't know if you ever read 1984, but when the the protagonist, Winston, receives Goldstein book, there's a part where it's explained why nations will never make a ''full scale war'' with other nations. Basically, to sum it up in a phrase, it is not convenient for anyone. There will never be a WW3, the only war you will hear about it's going to take place in some fucked up arabian country far away from your west world paradise. Now the economy of the world is ruled by big banks.

The world is not like it was 90 years ago, people changed. nazionalism is pretty dead, and if there is some, it is not extreme like in 1900.

If there will ever be a ww3, then Europe, needs to be ruled again by a big dictator who opposes himself to the requests of big banks and is a threat to their interests.
