I'd recommend looking into a few other faiths or subtypes of Wicca before you just jump into the church. Wicca has a lot of structure, and sometimes other faiths might have what you need in terms of looser interpretations (not to say that you can't have loose interpretations of Wicca).

That's exactly what Wicca IS. Covens have to be traceable back to Gerald Gardner. Priests and priestesses have to go through certification processes.
