You could make the argument that his friend is committing an immoral act by giving such a website views, which incentivizes its continued existence and gives an outlet for more recording of the suffering of others. It's also pretty shitty to be invading the privacy of your friends and recording them without their knowledge to determine their character. That is a pretty heavy breach of trust, and I would cut all contact with a person who I knew did that to anyone, not just me.

OP, unless you're really rich, you couldn't have hidden tiny cameras in their rooms because they need power sources and a place to store data. Usually for really 'low key' cameras they send it via like a signal to a receiver nearby. So you would have also had to hide receivers pretty much in their houses, since the signal length is like 20-50 feet usually.

Your friend has (to our limited knowledge) not hurt anyone. He has waited to satisfy whatever "needs" he may have had until he was behind closed (and probably locked) doors, with his windows closed.
