What's your take on using meditation to have different experiences or access different places in your mind? I've had a fair amount of success with this, by taking a few meditations (I got these ones from the Joy of Satan, they work well), doing them regularly, and going with my own intuition on this. It's fun if you don't rush it and enjoy the journey.
Has anyone done this long term and had major success with it? I've been meditating for a little over a year, so not that long.

Read up on krishnamurti about meditation or astral temple visualization meditation. Choose your style or alternate between.
Any other babble about meditation is bogus.
Law of One's chapters on meditation are useful to understand the difference between these two.

So many pointless rules. Just sit straight on a chair, feet on the floor and either focus on your breathing or just observe your thoughts without being attached to them
Given enough practice, you can reach states similiar to psychadelic experiences.
It's not far off of the way you think when stoned. You feel more objective and "looking down on" your thoughts, and are better able to see your subconscious, hidden motivations and emotions behind your thought patterns.
It leads to enlightenment through better self-understanding.
