Thats what I heard, which really bums me out considering how much I love Drive. It just looked so fucking cool. All that retrowave influence, plus fashion, plus weird horror potential and it's apparently boring. I might still have to give it a shot if only to see how it all went wrong

This is how I felt as well.

I do think that it's worth the watch for the visuals and atmosphere alone, but it does suffer from a weak narrative, particularly during the climax.

I would have been okay with her death if it weren't such a fucking boring way to end the film. Abruptly cutting the narrative short by killing off the lead half-way through her arc is indeed weak. All the shit after that was entirely superfluous.

Drive was ok, I liked the romance. His original "Pusher" trilogy is 10/10.

Neon Demon was shit.

It was surreal. I liked it. It was like an opium dream...

I really liked this movie but then again I can enjoy style over substance movies if the style is good enough which it def was in this
