buddhism is not as innocent as many think.
buddhism has it's own evil angle and is more deceptive than islam and is not as violent as islam of course so is not as easy to associate buddhism having very evil deeply embedded nature.

I know that here in Wales, there's a chapel or a church (can't remember) in St David's with Swastikas carved into the stonework with all the other religious iconography. It's an old building, and there are a lot of links with Wales and India what with the missionaries and all that during the empire years. Sorry it's not great information, just thought it was a nice little story of Welsh missionaries who decided to use Indian symbols in their place of worship, quite sweet.
