at first it seemed just like a normal star but it would change colors and oscillate compared to the other stars around it

Previous photos, it appears to move as much as the stars around it, so has to be beyond our geo-sync orbit (22K miles).
Possibly a planet? A satellite? A small plane that was really high up? A helicopter? Shit man, I don't know.

If it was a planet it would have the same trail as the stars and if it was a satellite then the trail would have been much longer.
So we can conclude that it was just a swamp gas filled weather balloon.

Scratch that, it has the same trail. I only looked at the first image and even there you can see that it has the same trail.
It's probably Venus or Jupiter.
