Out of curiosity why are wand threads mocked?
It's not like the divination thread is less silly - it's a literal roleplay thread.

Wands are typically seen as a form of pageantry and as such isn't taken seriously as a possible tool. I made one myself from a branch of pear. I read somewhere that pear wood is associated with the sign of Virgo and was a popular wood in making wands.

All magick is. Why not have fun with it?
Fuck this "poplar with a Griffin's pube" crap. This is a wrought iron wand I hand forged from a broken piece of reclaimed cemetery gates dating back to the 1700s.

I got the same under my bed who knows when the greys may came back...
>>18382387
Ikr? The greys may have sophisticated repair drones, but sometimes things get stuck in an unusual way which calls for a manual overdrive. And since they're so skinny, they sometimes need some muscle from one of the big races.

how does it work thoguh
>>18382672
It's not that unusual, and it isn't bad. Certainly wood is more common - and for a lot of people it works better, or baring that, they haven't tried the alternative.
Not that poster, but for me, I'm -awful- with wood, but have always had a -huge- affinity for metals and stones. So for me, it's only logical to use something of that nature, and I've had great success.

Works pretty good, it's pretty new, few months old so I'm still figuring out what it's good and not so good for. I've made quite a few wands but this one is my favourite.
So far it's really good with manipulating energy, more so than any other one I've made. It feels like it's better than using nothing, which my other ones felt like i might as well just not use them.

Nice wand, Exile.
