I just feel like talking about SCPs, I've read from 1 to 2881 and have a list of favorites that I'll share if you want. I hope to read them all eventually. Also, what's your favorite SCPs and what do you love about them, I like the memes and meta stuff.
>>18373587
There are a billion now and everybody seems really fond of their scp being a lead into some giant narrative dump about something that means everything we know about the world is false, like some other dimension or god that is the REAL reason humans exist or something. Also the people there seem really fond of handwaving away glaring issues in scps that could be fixed but muh votes.
Basically rather than them being decent little short stories that give you a glimpse into the world nowadays they're all shaggy god stories or something really similar but I don't know the term. In fact I know that's the wrong term. Basically what I mean is the short story equivalent of the end of Vanilla Sky or Neo meeting the Architect. Which gets tiresome.

I agree with you on the whole unoriginal SCPs thing, most today are to focused on trying to be world changing or something, I miss the old ones that were just weird objects with unique properties that were cool. They really don't capture your attention and make you think like they use to. Still like the meta ones though.

Does something actually happens to you if you scroll down at scp 001? Scrolled and found this
>>18375055
>i turn around and uncontrollably vision
>>18375089
Fuck off. A lot of those SCPs are real.
>>18375090
Not a single one is real - that's the whole point of SCP.
I bet you think creepypasta is real too, you dumb cuck
>>18375092
What are you hiding?
>>18375092
this.
>>18375092
>>18375095
There is no proof some of them don't.
>>18375097
>don't.
Aren't.
I haven't read all of the SCP site, but what I have read has been obviously fictional.
It's not for me to tell you what to believe, but don't expect people to take you seriously when you claim the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy are real.
>>18375105
shill
>>18375110
And just calling people who disagree with you shills, that's about as effective as calling them racists or misogynists. It never sticks. It just means you're wrong and can't articulate why, so you resort to name-calling.
>>18375105
>>18375118
I'm gonna have to go with
>>18375110
on this one.
Seriously, just leave it alone. You're not going to convince me, and I'm not going to convince you. This world is just too big to NOT harbor anything like those creatures. There is too much unexplained.
>>18375097
I don't think you understand how burden of proof works
>>18375136
Fuck off.
>>18375140
A cogent argument, thank you very much
>>18375144
You're literally here only to start trouble. Leave it alone.
>>18375147
I literally cannot stop laughing at the butthurt at being called out on your bullshit roleplay. This is why I come to /x/
>>18375152
>le epic shitpost
>tells mommy and leddit
>im so cool
Nice.
>>18375158
OK so let me get this straight. I call you out on your bullshit non understanding of how burden of proof works as you talk about how much you believe in SCP because there is no proof it doesn't exist, and I'M the one shitposting. Still laughing, faggot
>>18375162
>Look mommy I made another post!
>logs into reddit to write about le epic victory
Good.
>>18375131
I love SCP, I've read a fair amount of them but it's literally a creative writing collective. And if you aren't shitposting, the idea that earth is too big for anything to be impossible is lamely naive. Go outside.
>>18375169
>epic, simply epic
Sweet.
well, this roleplayer derail was fine and all, but can somebody actually post some good stories
holy fucking shit, what is with you autists
>>18375131
I specifically said, it's not for me to tell you what to believe. That's your business and I can't be responsible for it.
There surely are strange and unexplained things out there, and I never said otherwise. The difference is where you say "like these creatures" and the other guy believes at least some SCP entries are real. It's the difference between saying "I think vampires might exist" and "I believe Interview with the Vampire was a work of non-fiction".
And just to be clear, a shill is someone pushing an agenda because of an overt interest, like being a paid employee of a company and talking up their products. I'm just an unusually reasonable /x/phile. I can't imagine any way that I could be taken for a shill unless you believed that the SCP Foundation was real and employing me to convince people they didn't exist. If that were the case, I assure you I would be doing a better job.
i really enjoyed reading scp-2000(could be mistaken, havent been there in a while.) i just liked the idea that they basically reset the world every so often.

Rad.
My favorites included the black-eyed girl and the cyborg girl.
I think you guys might like these SCP/Pokemon starters: http://imgur.com/a/5DbaA
Also, check out the stories they're based on. They're based on mostly unheard of SCP's but you should check them out

Cool.

I came up with an idea for one, but I don't know if it's too similar to SCP-711.
It's based on the double-slit experiment, and how apparently a conscious human observing data after the experiment retroactively affects the outcome of the experiment, effectively sending a 1 or a 0 backward in time ("observed" or "not observed"). Based on this, a machine conducting a large number of experiments in concert can allow someone to send a string of information backward in time, and easily translate it to text.
Essentially, you turn the machine on, and it displays an output string of text. Afterward, someone enters an input on a keyboard. The thing is, the output is always the same as the input.
The meme of this SCP is that it'll have one of those funny testing logs, because initially it's unclear what the machine does. But eventually, someone will try to enter an input string OTHER than what's shown on the output; when they turn the machine on, the output will be a warning about a memetic hazard, which in turn creates a breach of a memetic hazard. After it's cleaned up, O5 insists that the warning message be sent to the past via the machine. Further testing prohibited.
Too lazy to search up its real name (you can find it easily though) but I love those killer tomatoes that attack if a bad joke was spoken in its nearby vicinity

While paranormal shit might exist, you guys are the people the site admins laugh at.
Read the FAQ - scp-wiki net/faq
There used to be a page on the site where they listed e-mails they got from idiots who thought that SCP's were real.
Where can I read these? Ive only seen YouTube videos

SCP-682 is still the best

Go to the wiki page.

I just found this. A post about it on /v/ led me to it.
I find the writing decent, and it's moderately entertaining.

This. I also like the ones that leave a lot for imagination, like the looping tape from the basketball game, and also there are some amusing SCP easter-egg likes like the rock of procrastinate (will add link for it later don't have it right now)
>>18376856
Come on they are obviously trolling, there's no way anyone would think SCP is real.
I hope.

Dumb people are one thing, and I'm not prepared to say there's nobody that stupid. But you're forgetting about legit schizos, and they aren't limited by rationality.

507 is easily one of the best, I also really enjoy the repeating nightclub, forgot which number it was. Like 320 or 340 something.
how did the world's most obvious bait succeed? it hooked the world's dumbest people
>>18373587
I stop in the first 900,plus 001 series and modern lore.
Not enough SCPs are spooky. A lot of them seem like they belong in the "Anomalous items" page rather than being real SCPs.
SCP-2317 is probably the best one.
